Material certificates and certificates as quality assurance - guidance on ordering material certificates
Swagelok® products are available with the most common material certificates to EN 10204, as well as industry and product category specific certificates to a number of industry standards.
The purpose of material certificates and certifications is to guarantee material quality, traceability and compliance with industry-specific requirements. The most common certificates for our products are the material certificates according to the European standard for metal products EN 10204; 2.1, 2.2 and 3.1.
It is advisable to ask our customer service for a material certificate at the quotation stage, as the need for a material certificate for a specific product may affect the ordering process. For example, in the case of pressure gauges, a product that includes a material certificate should be selected and cannot be applied for retrospectively. In these exceptional cases, the material certificate will be supplied with the product.
Generally, material certificates are delivered within approximately one week of product delivery by email, to the contact details provided by the customer. Our sales and customer service team will assist in selecting the correct material certificate if required.
In summary:
- Tell our sales department about your material certificate needs already at the quotation stage
- The material certificate is ordered in advance with the product.
- Material certificates are usually delivered within a week or so of delivery, by email to the customer's contact details.
