    Advanced Tube Bending training - Bend yourself into a master!

    Swagelok Helsinki will organise the Swagelok®Advanced Tube Bending (SWAGE-ATB-HB) course on 10 March 2026.

    Postgraduate course in tube bending: in-depth knowledge of pipe bending solutions

    Tube bending is often described as an art rather than a science. While well-done tube bending can be aesthetically pleasing, the true skill lies in the operator's confidence and knowledge.

    With proper training, careful planning, a positive attitude, and practice, almost anyone can master tube bending. This training program aims to equip trainees with the skills to handle complex tube installations, focusing on: 

     

    Participation in this course requires completion of the Swagelok Tube Bending Essentials course within the last three years.

    The next course will be held on 10.3.2026 at our office in Vantaa, Koivuhaantie 3a, 01510 Vantaa.

    Topics of the training

    The training is conducted in Finnish or English. The training will cover topics such as:

    • Complex interference
    • Changes in plane
    • Avoiding obstacles
    • Difficult angles
    • Parallel runs
    • Offsets and rolled offsets 

    Target group

    Advanced Tube Bending is a practical training course, particularly suitable for:

    • Installers
    • Service and maintenance technicians
    • Engineers

    For service and maintenance engineers, technicians and technicians who want to gain valuable knowledge and practical experience of the theory and practice of tube bending.

    Introduction of the trainer - Sami Juntunen

    Sami Juntunen holds the role of Swagelok Helsinki Technical Lead and is a Swagelok Certified Hydrogen Systems Specialist. He has decades of experience in implementing demanding small piping systems for challenging process fluids.

    Key competencies:

    • More than 27 years of experience in demanding instrumentation systems
    • Swagelok Clean Energy expert and certified trainer for Swagelok Essentials, Advanced Tube Bending, and Swagelok Tubing System Programs for hydrogen systems.
    • Consultation on numerous instrumentation systems for domestic industry companies

    Course format, duration and price

    This one day highly practical course utilizes 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” hand tube benders and follows the measure-bend approach to tube bending. An additional half day module is available to instruct on the correct operation and use of the Swagelok Bench Top Tube Bender.  

    Duration: 1,5 days of on-the-job training with a Bench Top Tube Bender. (1 day for the hand benders part only)

    Language: English or Finnish

    Price: 1300 € / person for 1,5 days, please ask for an offer if your company will have 3+ persons (1000 € / person for 1 day)
