Swagelok High-Purity PFA flare (FTF) connector supplier Swagelok has announced that it will discontinue all polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) products this year. This applies to all FTF fittings using PVDF material as well as PVDF nuts in PFA fittings. The change will also affect DRP valves and CHP check valves that use this material in the nuts of the end connections.
Swagelok will work closely with the supplier to ensure that all orders placed before the effective date of the change can be delivered. At this time, we do not anticipate any supply disruptions, but we are no longer accepting new orders for letters of intent .
We offer PFA options for many of the fittings in question. For valves, all affected product numbers will switch to using PFA nuts no earlier than September 17. Please note that changes to catalogs MS-02-195 and MS-02-171 will be made at a later date.
